Cinderella Prelim 9/24/2011

We had our first Cinderella pageant of the season. The open prelim at Bearden Middle School. It was actually really fun. Mom, dad, Blake, Ryan, Justin, and Tia got to come out and watch Addison during the pageant. She did amazing! She didn't see everyone at first so during the casual wear she just kinda stood there but when we went back on stage for her party wear she finally saw everyone and started waving and smiling. That made the judges say "ah" so jackpot! :) She won "Best Overall!" She got a sash, trophy, crown, and a cute embroidered bag. Victory! LOL Next month she's going to be doing her first semi-glitz pageant. (Will totally be blogging about it of course!) Here's some of the pics from the Cinderella pageant. Enjoy!
She loves the trophies she gets. She already can tell when she wins because she starts smiling and reaching for the trophy and poses for the camera. She's such a ham. :)
Her sash
Her bag. It's a drawstring bag and will totally come in handy for future pageants to keep her stuff in.
Her 2nd Cinderella trophy. Yay!
I'll add some more of her casual outfit and stuff when I get them from Tia and Amanda. Here's the overall winners.

This was just a picture of her Sunday with Papaw. :)
And I finally caught Eli in a mood to take a picture so I said ca chow! LOL

Busy busy weekend again. But AWESOME!

Saturday was crazy! We had to be in Jefferson City for a softball tournament to benefit the Children's Miracle Network. It was so much fun. We won 2 out of 3 games and actually did really good. I was the catcher for 2 of the games and absolutely loved it! I had forgotten how much I missed and loved softball. Softball was my life untill I had kids and then I pretty much quit and I missed it so bad. My dad and Chuck played with me.
Then I had to rush home and get ready for my 10 year class reunion. We started off at The Square Room at Market Square then went over to Latitude 35 for a little while. We danced all night long and I had so much fun. It was nice to see people that I hadn't seen in 10 years and had forgotten how much fun I had in high school. I love these people and hope that we can always stay as cool as we have been. Some of them I don't see very often but it felt like I had just seen them the day before. It was an amazing night. (For warning...some of these pictures are taken with my phone so they're VERY blurry.)

Dancing at Latitude 35

This one is extremely blurry but I remember it was funny so I had to add it. :)
Me and Amanda on our way to the reunion all dressed up. We looked awesome if I do say so myself. :)
Of course this one had to be dark. :( This was at Market Square before going into the reunion.
I just thought this one was funny. We didn't wait on the flash.

I don't drink beer so that makes this even funnier. :) Some how none of those were mine. LOL
I'm sorry...I look butt naked. :(

Michael was awesome! :)
One of my good friend's I had when I was in elementary school. When I saw him I didn't get a "Hey I haven't seen you in 10 years!" Instead I got a "Hey, I heard you were related to Andrew Gouge." LOL I was like thanks...lol
Needless to say I felt like I did 5 hours of Zumba when I woke up Sunday morning. Then Sunday afternoon I had another softball tournament. I played catcher again so when I got home, and today too, I hurt all over. I don't think there's a part on my body that DOESN'T hurt. But it was an amazing weekend and I'd take the hurting all over again!

Eli's 1st soccer game!!!

Eli had his 1st soccer game Saturday at Powell. He did so good! I was so proud of him and really had to hold the tears back. He tripped one kid (by accident of course) and I thought that would embarras him but he actually got up laughing and smiling. His team lost miserably but he has the best sportsmanship of any kid I've ever seen. In the middle of the game he looked and me, while laughing, and said "this is hard!" And even after they lost he came off the field smiling and telling me that he had fun. He had no idea that they had lost nor did he care. He didn't get mad when he sat out so the other kids could play and he didn't get mad when the other team would take the ball from him. He's such a happy kid. He smiled and laughed the whole time. Then he wanted to spend the weekend with me even though it was his Daddy's weekend. He needs to spend time with Jonathan but it still made me smile that he wanted to spend time with Mommy. :) I have no idea what position Eli plays because I know absolutely nothing about soccer. I just sat there and hollared "go Eli!" every once in a while. LOL

Labor Day weekend 2011

Labor Day weekend was busy. Saturday morning we went to eat with Mamaw and Papaw. I painted Addison's nails orange for UT, which BTW she sat so still for. She likes getting her nails painted but then of course she wants to touch them before they're dry but she tries to help me blow on them so they'll dry. :) She's already learning to be a girl. LOL
She wore this outfit last year for UT football too. She was only 4 or 5 months old.
Then Sunday we went to Boomsday with Tia and Justin. I didn't get any pictures because it was raining and Jacob kicked Addison out of her stroller to hide from the rain. LOL. Boomsday was a little hard for me but I'm managing. My kids are keeping me busy and I'm trying to realize that we deserve better. I'm hurting for Addison thru all of this though. But Addison loved the fireworks.
Monday was extremely rainy and Addison was cranky all day so we literally didn't come out of the house all day. I regretted it Tuesday because my car had been rained on inside. :( But it was a decent Labor Day. Hope everyone had a safe and fun weekend.

Jessica's baby shower

My cousin Jessica is having a boy! Camden Nash Cantwell is supposed to be here around October 20th, 2011. We had her a baby shower this past weekend and it was fun (as always.LOL) We played a few games, watched Addison run around, talked of course, and ate all kinds of food. Basically just like any other family get together except there were presents. :) Jessica's husbands name is Josh by the way. This was the 1st time I got to meet him. He'll fit in the family real well. :)
Jessica's poor feet :( She's really swollen. Like REALLY!
Center piece with toys for baby
Cake and cup cakes
Food...Josh actually said "compliments to the chef" and I can't remember who was the 1st one (of like 4 or 5) who said "Jennifer didn't cook any of this! What are you thinkin?!?" He doesn't know my reputation too well yet. LOL
Presents!
Addison playing with one of the baby toys. She'll definately be a softball player...runs in the family. :)

My babies

Lately, and just in general, if it wasn't for my kids I don't know what I'd do. Jacob always tries to talk to me when he can see I'm upset, Eli always wants to give me a kiss and hug everytime he leaves to go somewhere, and Addison is mommy's baby and her laugh alone makes me smile. I couldn't have asked for better kids than I have. Things might not have worked out the way that I had planned but I have the greatest kids ever. They cope to whatever their surroundings are and they go with the flow as long as they're with me. They didn't mind moving in with mom when we had money issues, they didn't mind moving out of the apartment, they don't care what happens. They're always happy and smiling. I love them more than life itself and wouldn't change anything. I love you Mommy's babies! :)
