I took the kids trick or treating on Halloween. It was Addison's first time really trick or treating. She loved it! Jacob even loved being the big brother and escorting her. :) I had a Cinderella, Thor, and Iron Man. They make me smile. :) love them. Hope you all had a happy Halloween as well!

Boo at the Zoo 10/13/2012
I took the kids to Boo at the Zoo for the 1st time this year. I'll admit that I was ready for a disappointment but I actually enjoyed it. Not a lot of the animals were out (which I could care less) but the kids didn't really complain either. They had the most fun at the dance tent after getting the whole 10 pieces of candy on the trail. (No joke.) They didn't hand out much candy but the kids loved seeing everyone else in costumes and dancing for a LONG time at the dancy party. I wish I could figure out how to upload the videos of Addison dancing, they are hilarious! Jacob was Iron Man, Eli was the hooded Scream figure, and Addison was the Little Mermaid. We went with a couple friends and it was really fun. I'll definitely be taking them again next year.
My hero :)

Rockwood Fall Festival 2012
The Rockwood Fall Festival was October 6, 2012 in the middle of Rockwood. Addison was in the Baby Pageant and this one was definitely not as organized as they usually are. They didn't have a stage or anything to stand on and she got so confused. (Maybe that's why this one was so much cheaper. LOL) It lasted much longer than the others too and crammed about 200 people in a room that shouldn't have held more than 75 maybe. She got a trophy for "Pixy Award" and she posed for a good picture so we're good. I do these little side ones to get her good practice and to keep her ok being in front of a crowd. I'm terrified doing anything in front of a crowd and have changed my major several times in college to reflect this so I do these pageants with Addison so she is comfortable with it and uses that in school eventually. Plus I don't ever want her being insecure about what she looks like when she gets older like 99% of girls now days are. She loves getting trophies like Jacob and Mommy so when she comes home with one she always has to show it off to everyone. :) Love her!

Cinderella prelim - Knoxville kick off
Saturday September 29th was Addison's first Cinderella pageant of the new year. We found the ticket to making her behave as well as smile and wave for the judges...GUM! Before I took her on stage I told her if she waved at the judges then I'd let her have some gum (she was begging for it but I couldn't let her have it till we got off stage.) It worked! She went on stage and waved THE WHOLE time and even blew kisses. She was even having fun and got so excited that she "did good" as she said. She ended up winning a trophy, crown, sash, and the Cinderella Personality title. So proud! :)

Finding Nemo in 3D
I took the kids and Blake to go see Finding Nemo in 3D. Addison likes that movie and will actually watch it so we went for it. She wore the glasses for the first little bit but then didn't want anything to do with them. Go figure. Actually, the movie wasn't worth paying the $11.50 PER PERSON to see it in 3D because it didn't look any different to me but I guess the more Addison goes the more she'll get used to sitting and watching (quietly) instead of running around and playing.
Tennessee Valley Fair Baby Pageant
I'll eventually get around to adding the pictures with all these posts but I'm trying to go ahead and type everything out so I don't forget dates and stuff. On September 8th Addison was in the Tennessee Valley Fair's Baby Pageant. She was pumped and ready. She had on a dress that I absolutely love and she likes it too so that makes it 10 times better. Tia went with us and Addison was saying that she was going to wave and blow kisses and smile. So what did she do? She froze like a deer in headlights. LOL I even asked her what was the matter after we got off stage and she smiled and shrugged her shoulders. Then I asked her if she froze and she nodded her head like she actually knew what I was asking. :) She had fun though and got a ribbon so that's all we care about. It gets her practice so it's a win win. I promise I'll post pictures soon. :)

KPC softball tournament
KPC (Knoxville Pediatric Cardiology) helped to sponsor a softball tournament for the American Heart Association. They do this every year and Children's Hospital always participates. We had one team for Children's Hospital in general and one team for KPC (which I was on.) This is my 2nd year playing and my 2nd year as catcher. 2 days later and I see why they always want me to play catcher. I'm the only one stupid enough to play it for 6 hours straight and I'm HURTING! I can't move my legs without wanting to growl and complain. LOL But it was so much fun and totally worth it. The people that play are usually the same people and they are a great bunch of people. We won our first 2 games and then lost the last 2 so I think that had us coming out in 3rd place. Much better than last year. I'll eventually get this picture thing taken care of and be able to post pictures of everything. For now you have to go on my word. :)
